Alternatively, clients may opt for the driver to personally deliver the item, with a minimum charge of $25 plus an additional $3 .50 per mile starting from our base office in RiverFalls. The company will hold onto the item for 14 business days from the day it was left in the vehicle or at the property. After this period, any unclaimed items will be disposed of properly. What is a service animal?

Under Wisconsin law, a service animal is any animal trained, or being trained, to do a specific task for the benefit of a person with a disability. This differs from the Americans with Disabilities Act definition, which is limited to dogs and miniature ponies.

A service animal is an animal that is trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability.

The law provides that there are only two questions that a driver may ask to confirm that a rider’s animal is a service animal:

Is the animal required because of a disability?

What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?

The driver may not request that the rider present documentation proving that the rider’s animal is a service animal.

There is no requirement that a service animal wear a tag, be registered, or display any kind of proof that it is a service animal.
